Rainy Day RV Living

Since more rain and flooding is forecast through out central Texas for the rest of this week we thought it would be a fitting time to give you this “Rainy Day RV Living” video. We’ve also included some of our favorite “rainy day” activities to help keep your little ones entertained.

Rainy day activities while traveling in your RV.

  • Practice up on your origami skills
  • Cooking dinner together can even be done while RV living.
  • Pop some corn and watch a classic movie.
  • Improvise a marshmallow catapult and see who can catch the most in their mouth. (If you miss you have to pick it up)
  • You DO remember a few “looped string” tricks from you childhood don’t you?
  • Keep dominoes on hand and teach your kids to play or just line them up to topple over. Kids love the chain reaction.
  • Go bowling¬†at home, on a counter-top or on the floor.
  • Write letters (on real paper¬†with real pens and pencils) to out-of-town relatives or friends.
  • Learn a few magic tricks to wow your friends.
  • keep a deck of cards on hand and be ready to teach your kids the simple joys of Rummy, Spit or Slapjack.
  • You DO keep a watercolor book and colors on the RV don’t you?
  • Break out a puzzle and work it as a family.
  • Have a pillow fight (after putting all the breakables away)’
  • Play “Simon Says” or “Follow the Leader.”
  • Try Freeze Dancing if you can make a little space in your RV.
  • Legos are always good to pack along
  • Select a Stem toy (or maybe 2) to keep hidden away for a rainy day.
  • Keep a little bubble-wrap on hand for busy little fingers.
  • Bust open those activity books you have piled up.
  • Cuddle up with a pile of books.
  • Teach your kids how to play charades.
  • Create a puppet show with small paper bags.
  • Always keep a box of crafts handy for rainy days while RV Living.
